I use card stock or a big index card, and twist it into a cone-shape. Then I tape it. If the cone is pointy enough and elongated enough it can be pushed all the way into a 2x3 Ziploc.![]() ![]() I have 4 cutoff pill bottles weighted down with pennies and nickles. I put a paper cone funnel into a 2x3 Ziploc, and push that into the pill bottle. That supports the Ziploc and paper funnel, hands-free. In fact, I park 4 pill bottles into a little tray cut from a box of Ritz crackers. That also helps support them. I line up 4 Ziplocs and four paper tunnels all at the same time. That way, I have two hands free for the slinging of seeds across the carpet. ![]() ![]() I have various measuring gadgets. I like gadgets! ![]() ![]() This curvy glass is not only a crude graduated cylinder, the bulge is good for counting seeds. I hold it almost horizontal, then scoop 4-20 seeds into the bulge part. Then I can use the small spoon to pull them a few at a time over the rim and into a tray, counting as I go. I think the glass also gives a bit of magnification. But usually I try to avoid counting. I figure out a scoop size that makes up the desired number of seeds, then just use that scoop. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually, I usually divide up my seeds into trade-size pkts as soon as they arrive fro the seed vendor. I enjoy printing up the labels and stuffing them. |
