Anyone ever hear of anyone growing monk fruit in Europe or North America?

It's being used as a new sweetener, and it looks like China is trying to keep it in China by law. Aren't monopolies on Mother Nature just grand?

Apparently, the concentrated form is much sweeter then sugar, with no bitter aftertaste of stevia. companies are having too many problems using maskers to hide the aftertaste to go much farther with using stevia in other products, and are looking to possibly switch to monk fruit.
