|It is snowing again here. They forecasted 1-3 inches. We have at least that much already and it is still snowing. Day time temperatures are in the teens and twenties. Night time temperatures are in the single digits and dipping below zero on Tuesday night. The snow cover should provide some protection for the plants. I am concerned about the survival rate of my recently moved plants. I'll find out in spring.
I brought my potting mix inside to defrost so that I can do some more wintersowing. I haven't set up my indoor light shelf, yet. I was hoping to find a prettier one, but I will use the metal shelf this year. I have a chair and boxes of clothes in the place of the future light shelf. This weekend's project is putting double rods in my closets. I am weeding out clothes for the consignment shop and the salvation army at the same time.
I suspect that spring may be late this year after such a volatile winter. It is hard to know when to start seeds. I don't want to have too many seedlings struggling inside on overcrowded shelves waiting for warm weather. I have started them too early in the past. Valentines day is my goal for starting veggie and annual seeds indoors this year - only a couple weeks away!
