I was finally able to send an email complaint to the post office - cutting and pasting it here...

After 6 days, the package is STILL AT THE ORIGINAL POST OFFICE. This is a two day package which has been lost for 6 days.

To make matters worse, I have been able to send an email complaint for 3 days due to problems with your website.

In spite of calling numerous times and waiting on hold for long intervals, I have also been unable to reach a customer service representative via phone.

The package sender has been in contact with the local AL post office. She was told that a bag of mail has been misplaced. The AL post office has been looking for this package for 5 days. Several other similar packages mailed priority insured mail at the same time are also lost.

Your delivery and customer service are horrendous. I paid extra to the sender for 2 day priority mail. What a waste of money! In the future, I will send important mail with UPS or FedEx. This situation is unacceptable.

I expect the USPS to try harder to locate my package and mail it in a timely matter. I also believe that a refund for the priority mailing fee is due the sender. When one pays extra for priority 2 day shipping with tracking and delivery confirmation, one expects the package to be delivered within 2 business days and not lost. Also, one expects to be able to reach customer service during business hours if not 24/7. (Your competitors, UPS and Fedex, answer their customer service lines 24/7 and have never lost a package that I either sent or received. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with the USPS.)

I have been on hold for the third time trying to reach a human being.

Update: reached a human being named Paula. She listened to my complaint and issued a Case Inquiry confirmation number. I should either get an email from the email complaint or a phone call from the phone complaint in 48 hours.

If this is still unresolved in 48 hours and I am still in a bad mood, I will send an email to the postmaster general. Been there, done that before when they lost my prescriptions 2 times in a row 2 years ago. That gets results!

Sending the case number to our long suffering piggy mama.

BTW, I am loving the plant of the week. Another plant I want to grow. Its not easy being a seed addict....
