and the beloved Winston the pug
LOL, Ella. I limited Winston's squash portion, much to his dismay. He did his biz when I took him out, so I think we will be able to get thru the night. I saved some for him to eat tomorrow. This squash was especially tasty, so I saved some seeds - only about 12 in the squash. I am germination testing two now. They may be sterile or untrue, but I figured they are worth a try!

Does anyone know a site that has a zip code flower planting schedule like the veggie planting one on the farmers's almanac? That is a real time saver!

We have yet another winter storm watch - 10 more inches of snow starting tomorrow night and continuing Thursday. At least they are predicting snow, not ice. I wore out a pair of winter boots this year. I was walking along and the bottom fell off! Good thing I was just outside the house. I really love those boots - Bass shearling. I am going to see if they can be resoled. Of course, I have another pair of winter boots. I also found a replacement pair on the clearance sale rack. I think that they were a good price because they were teal. Not a problem. They are warm, comfy and will look fine with jeans and my blue coat especially after I knit a hat to match! Of course you know who will get a matching doggie sweater. We are going to be so chic when we go a walking!
