My wintersown containers are buried under a couple of feet of snow. doubt there are any sprouts, yet, but they are getting well stratified. We are about to enter the freeze thaw stage of winter/early spring. Temps raise above freezing in the day and below freezing at night. The snow melts, turns to slush, refreezes at night to ice and keeps repeating the cycle until April or so. I suspect that the freeze/thaw is harder on the plants than the winter.

Today we have sleet. Tomorrow it will sleet.rain/sleet. I am missing the snow already, lol.

After I finish my work today, I will wintersow some more seeds and start entering my piggy seeds in my database. I am starting my indoor seeds march 1, following the farmer's almanac for veggies. not sure which flowers to start first - thinking I'll start violas, petunias and salvias.
