I went into town today to check on the fields.

The snow had melted from one, but it was still frozen about 2" down, so too muddy to plant.
One was still covered with 6" of snow.
I didn't check the other two because they are in a slightly cooler micro-climate.
The kitchen garden is still thawed, so I planted a row of red-podded soup peas. I need to prune the fruit trees before I get too carried away about planting much more there.

I normally don't start planting until about the 3rd week of March, so I'm just being antsy because of the mild winter.
