Andi -- you have the weather I had 2 days ago... it was pleasant, but gosh -- really windy. I had pruned my rose bushes.... they really took a beating this winter... I had all the canes on a sheet [that is how i transport garden refuse, to dump in the back] it was so windy, it took the whole sheet, with thony canes, and rolled it up, slightly blowing it down the little hill.

Now, i couldnt pick it up because of all the thorns and the thorns are now stuck into the sheet.... so I ended up sitting on the ground with a landscape bag [those huge paper ones for recycling landscape scraps] -- this thing is now blowing in the wind.... so I sat, clipping each cane into smaller pieces, to get them in the bag -- which is blowing in the wind. ~~ What a miserable experience... and I could see my DH with cocktail in hand on the patio... just watching me.

I'm sure the winds died down just as i was finished... I was not humored at all.
