| Some people spread corn meal around their roses. I think it is to discourage black spot. It seems like flour or corn would attract ants and bugs and encourage mold growth. I haven't tried either. I am already spraying with eggs, milk powder and pepper. I have been mixing up more food for the plants than for myself (and Winston the deprived pug) lately.
