I doing my 'frost-emergency' harvest. It's raining now, and my first frost can be predicted as regular as clockwork because it arrives "The first clear night after the first rainstorm in September". It is currently raining.... So it's perfectly average and right on schedule for me.

I harvested the mixta squash today. Thanks for the great seeds! That's the first abundant harvest in 5 years of trying with this species.

I also harvested the moschata squash for seed. Lots more to be harvested for the food pantry and farmer's market.

My favorite squash of the year was a bright yellow moschata squash. I've never seen that in a moschata before.
