Ella, I have slow dial-up too and like you have been experiencing slow-downs, interruptions and just plain 'pooter balking at connecting to net. Sometimes cursor refuses to budge. Happens here most often when there's bad weather, even when the storm is down in Georgia.

So, in case anyone doesn't know this solution to some of the above, let me advise using th Text feature. Instead of keying your thoughts onto a web page where it says, "Post a reply", type onto a text page, which can be accessed by going into a folder, right-clicking and then selecting "text" from the menu that drops down.

This text feature eliminates any formatting or related glitches. When you're done, cut and paste that to the web page in the "Post a reply" box.

You will be less likely to lose what you write, and not have to wait eternities for the cursor to move when your internet connection slows down. And if it goes pouf, well then you saved it on that text document when you wrote it, right?
