| Terese Hi! Good to see you, too!  I answered the treemail that you sent over at ATP...not that my reply was all that helpful.Ella Yes, I have my dsl from AT&T. I suspect that AT&T just isn't maintaining their old copper-wire lines very well. Whenever it rains I lose my dsl. Recently it's gotten where I'm constantly loosing so many frequencies on my bandwidth that my dsl comes to a useless crawl. Grrrr!  My parents have U-verse from AT&T and it is always dropping out or slowing down, too. Although U-verse uses fiber-optic cables part of the way, it must transfer over to the old copper-wire telephone lines for the rest of the way. If you have a slow connection, I highly recommend disabling add-ons like Shockwave Flash and Java. If you turn off Flash then the moving advertisements cease which can speed up page loading. If you want to watch a video on Youtube or similar, then you can always re-enable Flash. |
