Star: I am the one that gave myself nightshade poisoning this summer!!! I mostly wing it. If it tastes good, and I don't get sick with a little bit, then I'll try a little bit more next time. I'm careful with mushrooms. I key those out carefully before eating. (Most times). I eat the berries of cotoneaster. The strain around here has black berries. They are bland and dry, but nothing suspicious about the flavor. I figure the anthocyanins are worth something. A shaman teaches me about medicinal herbs. Mostly I collect those for her, then she beings tea to me at the farmer's market. I suppose that I should add rose hips to my list of foraged foods.
