Promise, I'm sorry I cannot help you with the Spigellia marilandica, I have never grown them from seed. I didn't even know where to look for seed until someone posted on ATP. Wait! I think Xeranthemum grew some from seed. Maybe I can find her post. My suggestion would be to WS in vermiculite. Let me see if I can find anything. Edited to add: This is what Xeranthemum posted: I've been doing some research and they need light to germinate and if planted really fresh they come up fast .. otherwise they apparently go into deep dormancy and require a 3 week chilling period. I started 12 of my seeds yesterday .. I'll keep you updated on how they do. I've got some on the surface and some barely covered. |
