Ciao all-

We're doing fine up here. Duane had a couple additional days off work due to extreme cold advisories. Yes, that happens even in frozen Canada. Sunday was the coldest day on record at Pearson Airport here in Toronto at -27C with a -40C windchill. Just hideous. We're just hunkering down and trying to find inside activities to stave off insanity. Duane got all of his peppers potted up, even the Annuums and I made chocolate ganache tarts with meringue hearts. Today, I got 2 largish plastic tubs and several small plastic tubs at Dollarama for all of my winter-sowing stuff. I'll be spending the next couple of days rounding up flower seeds that I'm thinking of starting and figuring out if I can winter-sow them. Can I put them outside now or do I need to wait until conditions aren't so hateful? Does it matter if it's really REALLY cold outside for this? I'm really hoping this experiment works since it means I will be able to grow so many additional flowers without requiring space under my light set-up inside.
Grazie a tutti,
