Can I put them outside now or do I need to wait until conditions aren't so hateful? Does it matter if it's really REALLY cold outside for this? I'm really hoping this experiment works since it means I will be able to grow so many additional flowers without requiring space under my light set-up inside.

I'm not altogether sure, but I'm waiting to put any more outdoors until temps start to move away from the sub-zero zone. Putting containers out from an indoor 70 degrees to an outdoor 32 degrees seems like it would be stressful enough, but to have an eighty+ degree drop, instantaneously, seems a bit too much like asking for trouble.
