|It's been a mild winter here... The trees and crocus are flowering. Here's what the parsnips looked like a few minutes ago.
I set the germination testing pots in the greenhouse a couple days ago. It's been below freezing at night, so some of the plants of some varieties got frozen... But some plants of some cold sensitive varieties unexpectedly survived. Here's an example of a bean plant that survived.
I was most surprised by the fava beans. I think of them as frost tolerant, but they were very wilty. It appears that they didn't like the frost... Guess I'll be able to tell better later in the day.
