|I must not be a good dog trainer. Winston will pee on demand after he learns to stay out of the kitchen.
I had been trying to get Hershey to "heel" until I learned Joe's command is "walk nice." We are making progress, but I have to hold on to the leash with both hands if a squirrel or a cat crosses our path.
Hershey is very concerned that the organic mousetrap has been in the narrow crawl space under my front room. Given a chance he would dig out the azaleas and dive into the crawl space. That would be exciting - not. The poor guy would probably get stuck.
Winston the pug is not a working dog, but I love the silly little guy. Hershey a brown lab/pit/other mix. He is loyal and social like a lab, but stubborn and fierce like a pitbull. He is a good match for his owner. Most of the neighbors are scared of both Hershey and his owner, but I think they are great neighbors.
Maybe I have low expectations. I am happy that Winston pees outside and doesn't chew anything especially my shoes! I am content if Hershey doesn't hurt my shoulder or kill any cats. I think I need to enroll in the special ed department at the dog training school.
