Arlene, that's interesting about the hornworms -- I haven't had any outside OR in the HH this year, but when I have had them outside in the past my birds didn't seem to do a thing about getting rid of them. Maybe they're too well fed with our feeders always being kept full. Are you still selling at the market? (it doesn't sound like you've done much downsizing...)

Joseph, I agree -- our hummers love the runner beans, too!

I canned 13-1/2 pints of salsa today, froze some jalapeno halves to use for future "poppers," and have about 3 pints' worth of pepperoncini peppers in brine to be pickled tomorrow. Trying to keep up with it all, but we have relatives from Florida staying in the area for the summer and they seem to think we need to get together now and then... I don't know how those of you with BIG gardens -- Arlene and Joseph, that would include you -- manage it all!
