Thanks Porkpal, I for one am happy to be entering May a few days early! Kathleen, hang in there, I know it is a sad time and you are in my prayers. I have 2 amaryllis bloominf on my kitchen windowsill. One is Red Lion, it has had a total of 6 blossoms. Picotee has 2. I bought Picotee at a big box store for about $5, and when it bloomed it did not match the rather plain picture on the box, it was much better. I searched the web, and got the correct name, and also learned that it should have cost me $15 or more! Woooopee! Far better than paying for the expensive one and getting the cheap one. I helped my neighbor move yearling cattle this morning. It was like herding cats at first but they settled down and we got them where they needed to go. Fun, but I was cold for the next 2 hours! Spring, where are you? Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. More ramblings at http://thegatheringplacehome.myfastforum.org/forum54.php |
