Essential Oils in the Home forum: EO's in the Kitchen.......

|We all know that the kitchen produces many smells....many very appetizing some not so much! So remember that essential oils are about actually cleansing the air, not merely masking odours and are perfectly safe to use even if some of the spray falls on ourselves or the food. Some oils to use for an excellent clean air spray would be rosemary, lavender, lemon, eucalyptus and lime. For example if we want to clean out our fridge or freezer, add 1 drop of lemon or citrus EO to the final rinse water and we will have not only a clean fridge but one that is deodorized! And not an overwhelming smell but just a fresh, clean scent. Also, if we are washing down surfaces, sinks or cupboards we can put 1 drop directly onto the cloth we are using or if you prefer, once again into the rinse water...in this case up to 7 drops. I use a disinfectant, anitbacterial blend with a fresh, crisp scent to clean my kitchen whether it is the floor, countertops or whatever, I know it smells wonderful, is completely natural and eliminates the germs and smells. It is 5 parts lavender, 2 parts bergamot, 1 part lemon, juniper and peppermint. I mix it together in a small bottle and add the drops to whatever job I am working on. I am never without it. Hope you find this info beneficial and use it in your own life and once you get used to it and familiar with EO's you will never stop because it is safe, natural and has health benefits along with it.|
