I have used Tea Tree oil in areas where there has been moisture (under the sink). I mix a bit with water in a spray bottle and mist the area lightly, then turn on the fan and dry the area thoroughly. It seems to help control the spread of mold and mildew.

I have also used the water/tea tree oil mixture on the animals' "hot spots". We get a lot of drop-off animals here and many of them have skin problems. Sadly, we have no animal rescue in this county and some of the worst animals have to be put down, but we do the best we can with the ones we can save and find homes for.
