Hi carol

Have you ever tried growing garlic as a companion to your roses? The sulfur is a natural fungicide. If you haven't you might want to try it for future prevention. Garlic teas are also used to keep fungus gnats away.

My healall is going strong!

The phlox and healall are natives. So they just pop up on their own. i gathered up some of the healall last year and put it in the spot it's now sitting in.

not much else to show off here right now either. the bees and butterflies really like the zennias, galardia and marigolds that I put in pots.

Great pics ya'll! Love the peony, Cinda!

Chris, that is a sweet azalea... so demure and delicate compared to mine. I have 2 bushes left of that one. I have had them for over 20 years. Started out with six of them and they are the only two left now. They bloom earlier than a lighter one I have. It is more like yours. It is blooming now.

I do not think I have ever seen an alstroemeria in the garden. The only ones I have seen were in flower shops, they looked really tall. Are garden ones shorter?

So far these are short but they are new plants. These were ordered from easy to grow bulbs. Actually it is my understanding that the cultivars grown for florists are not readily available to the general public. but they are really pretty. That pic doesn't do them justice. I have some more blooming now, and I will do pics soon...
