She is still at DG but hasn't gotten over to Cubits. I keep up with her by actually seeing her from time to time and by email. They are living like the rest of us now, without all of the hardships they had that year they moved to KY. She is one fine Christian lady and her daughter and husband are wonderful also. Nobody deserves a good life better than those three. They didn't get a chance to come with Melody and Keith to see us this Christmas because she got a chance to go see her mother in Louisiana instead. I really missed seeing them. She did send me a good supply of pralines however. Love those!!!!!!

Truth should be everpresent.
I was so glad when they got their trailer and could move out of the camper. It was such a blessing. I am glad they are doing so well. I haven't coresponded with her in quite a while but I think of her often. We are from the same area back home but didn't know each other then. We met on DG.

The puppy is interested in all the animals but hasn't bothered any. I think he is intimidated by the big roos free ranging in the yard. He visits with the colt in the lot but he is careful not to get stepped on. It's odd, the colt tries to stomp the roos but has never offered to hurt the puppy. They touch noses a lot. I know the boys will enjoy the pup. He is really a smart little dog.

Glad you were able to get out a while. I love thrift stores and yard sales. Getting a good bargain is like a "high" for me. LOL

That puppy is one lucky dog. His nickname should be Lucky or Surprise!
Didn't know you and Lisa hailed from the same area. That Louisiana man of mine ignores all the good food at Roundup and eats mostly Lisa's Cajun food. It is the same way when they come to our annual Christmas parties at my house. One year she brought us a child's book about a Cajun Christmas and read it. I loved that. Lisa brings her Cajun washboard to roundups every year and she and Albert do a few songs that make both of them think about Louisiana and make the rest of us smile and sing our little hearts out. She did a little Cajun jig this last time and I didn't have the video camera ready to get her doing it captured. I could listen to her and Jesse talk all day. Love those accents.

I miss the bayou more and more these days.

Do you ever watch "Swamp People" on the History channel. It comes on Sunday nights but it is between seasons right now. It makes me so homesick to watch it. One of the guys on there is a friend of mine. We went to HS together.

You can't beat La's food or her music. Lassiet le' bon temps roulet!
I love to hear the accordian and the cajun fiddle. Go to Youtube and search L'Angelus. You will LOVE them!

I will make that search tonight when I have time to thoroughly enjoy the music. Remind me again about the TV show when they start showing it again. I will forget about it if I am not reminded. Whistling

Whistling I just posted some pictures of me as a teenager with our collie dog over in the dog forum. See the link in my signature. Look for humorous dog photos.

Cheryl, do you like Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys? Their album "Bon Reve" is one of my favorites out of everything that I have.
