That looks like a whole lotta work. Good job!

LOL at the Christian upbringing. Guess they weren't making too much of a stand for their faith.

Cajun, is that a picture of both of your grandsons? They are handsome young lads. I guess they have gone back to Louisiana now, right? I am so sorry that you are having to go through that adjustment. I know how happy you are when they are with you in the summertime.

Kelli, those are real works of art. You did a marvelous job! It must have taken you forever to do them and it was so special of you to give them to your mother. She is a lucky lady to have you for a daughter. We are lucky to have you for a friend also. Actually we are lucky to have all of you who are members of this cubit. Thanks for being a friend to us all.

Cinda, it is embroidery.

Thank you Elena. I don't remember how long it took to make, but it was on the order of months, like April to August or something like that. I didn't work on it every day, but worked on it more days than not.

Well, it was well worth your efforts and I know your mother must treasure them. What a lovely thing for you to do for her.

Yes, those are my little men. I miss them so much. We made precious memories this past summer. DH's Mom was telling me this evening something Radar told his Mom. He told her he was ready to go back to Ky. She said, "You just got back from Ky. Why do you want to go back?" He said, "Cause I love my Maw Cheryl." LOL I am so glad he does. I love him so much too. He is a funny little guy. His wheels are always turning. He had so much fun playing in the creek.

Did you notice I finally got my TGP link in my signature here? I feel so accomplished. LOL

Cheryl, I am glad you got your forum linked in your signature. It can hopefully get traffic for you in your forum at TGP. Kelli, I just noticed your signature and that you have created a new cubit so therefore I just joined it. I don't take day hikes but will enjoy reading what you and others say about them. Why don't you add that Cubit to your signature over at The Gathering Place plus add your forums over there to your signature here at Cubits? You really need all of them at each place to draw traffic to your forums and cubits. They are done just alike at both places so once you know how to do them, they can transfer just fine from one place to another.

Cheryl, I know you miss your boys terribly and that they miss you. I think it is wonderful that you guys love each other so much. You are all truly blessed.

Kelli, your tablecloth is gorgeous, such beautiful work. Did you make the design yourself? I haven't done embroidery for years. It seems like I just don't have the time or patience to complete a project nowadays! I have a couple of partially done crochet projects that I started that are in baskets in my closet!

Thank you. The tablecloth had the pattern printed on it. It was a kit.

I'm doing OK. Been a rough week, I lost my white dog, Trouble to a bad reaction to anesthesia when I took him to the vet for teeth cleaning last Monday. Getting readjusted to life with one less dog. Tomorrow is mom's birthday, she would have been 82, so just going through past birthdays, etc. Going out to her favorite pizza place for supper tomorrow night!

I am very sorry about your dog. I am to the point now that I am very concerned about putting my dog or my cat to sleep to clean the teeth. I have heard way too many stories like that lately. My sister almost lost her beloved and only cat recently because of that. He now has kidney problems because of it. I have always given my dogs very large knuckle bones to chew and that has kept their teeth clean but it is almost impossible to find them these days. The smoked bones you buy splinter too much probably because they have been cooked under extremely high heat. They are not the least bit safe. Giving them only dry dog food is about the only thing we can do anymore I guess to keep the plaque down. How many dogs do you have now and do you still show them. Why don't you show us some pictures?

Happy birthday (Doris) to a very special lady that we all loved. I always remember my mother, dad and grandmother on their birthdays. They are still their days as far as I am concerned. Doris will be smiling down on you and being happy that you are going to her favorite restaurant in her memory.

Hi Deb....Yes, I have been thinking of Doris for days....I knew that her birthday was just after mine...sept 5th...and the other day I was on the memory garden site and just sat here at my computer and bawled. I loved her so much. Me, her and Elena could have some of the best "fights". Jo

Thanks ladies,

I've been showing a bit, I'm down to 6 dogs right now. Here is a picture of Sissy my 15 month old. A good friend of mine showed her, she won Reserve Best in Show.

We had fun didn't we? I remember our last roundup together. We sang a lot of the old religious songs that day and she loved every one of them. I would look over at her and she would be smiling so sweetly. I would tell Albert to keep on singing the ones she loved. One of these days we will continue that fun in heaven. Things will be even better there and for sure there has to be chocolate and we won't have to fight over it cause there will be enough for us all.

Thanks for posting the picture of that beautiful dog, Deb. She is a knockout.

Deb and Jo and anyone else reading this. Why don't you go over to The Gathering Place and take some of the polls that Kelli (She is Aloe at TGP but Kelli at DG) and I have been putting on the new forum there? It looks like it is going to be a lot of fun.

Elena,

I went there, and tried to log in, and it said my password was incorrect, so I clicked on "I forgot my password" link, and entered what I thought was my user name, and my e-mail address, and it said my e-mail address doesn't match the one on the account. I even tried my old (3 years ago was the last time I used it) e-mail, and it said that doesn't match either. Can you send me the info I need to log in??

Thanks,
Deb
