Be yourself, you can be no one else
This morning I started for the basement, got half way there, looked out the window on the back door and wondered why I was going. Went back to the kitchen to continue what I was doing, and thought I would remember. Nope. Still don't know. Attention span of a gnat, yep, that's me!
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I don't know that I have that much of an attention span, but what I have is patience for detail, I think.

I made this for my cousin. I also made a different stocking for his wife but forgot to take a picture of it before I mailed it.

Birds of a feather flocking together, that's us! Mary, I do that all the time. I know what you are talking about. Most of the time, it will be something that I need to complete a project or job and when I don't come back with it, the job can't be finished. Other times, it is a complete mystery. When there are other people around I just try to act like everything is normal. Then when I wind up heading back to the same place again in a few short moments they probably don't even notice. Maybe they do and are too polite to say anything.

Cajun, I love the picture of your two grandsons. They are handsome lads.

Kelli, that Santa is darling. You do such good work. Thanks for those links. (I just saw the dayhike one.) I will spend some time at both right away......hopefully Blinking tomorrow. (If I don't forget. My gnat brain may cancel that information out before I even get there. Hopefully not.)
Love you guys.

The stocking was from a kit. You cut out the pieces and embroider the details and sew on the sequins. Then you glue the parts together and stuff certain sections. You can sew the parts together instead of glue but that would take about three weeks short of forever.

Glue sounds like the best option then. "Three weeks short of forever".....NOPE! I might not live that long.

I think you'll like these. This is toyon. It's a plant that grows wild out here and is pretty common and the berries turn red just in time for Christmas.
