Here is one of my pups from last summer. This is Smushy, sitting on the stairs. (I realize that it's a horrible name, but somehow it's stuck).
At 10 days old he was stepped on by his mother. The screaming was awful, and he just wouldn't stop. I was afraid that she stepped on his abdomen and ruptured something, so we rushed to the emergency clinic, I was really expecting it to be a one way trip. After about an hour there he quieted, they couldn't find any damage, but determined that she had stepped on his head. Told me to watch him and if he couldn't nurse, he would need tube feeding for a while. Well, once we got home, he was just fine, never had any problems nursing, but he was referred to as Smash face, which eventually became Smushy. And now he answers to it! He's 9 months old, now. And he's still overly dramatic!
Love that too! He is so pretty. I guess I should say handsome, huh? I love dramatic dogs too. I also love the name, Windigo I B'lieve I Can Fly. I could barely think of names for three children much less name dogs time after time and puppy after puppy. They would all have numbers if it were me, I think. That would probably be my best shot at being different. I don't have much of an imagination for originality. I would have to leave that to you, Deb, and Sharon.
These are some of my fishies. The one at the top is a koi. The rest are goldfish. (I don't have the three at the bottom anymore. A raccoon got them. It's not always The Peaceable Kingdom here. The netting keeps herons out.)
I had to give up on having any fish outside. Predators just kept getting them in spite of netting. We have owls, hawks, coyotes, foxes, ferrot cats, skunks, o'possoms, racoons, wild turkey flocks, buzzard flocks, armadillos and probably some predators I am forgetting to mention in our neighborhood. Not much is safe outside except my really BIG German Shepherd dog. She may not be safe either but she does have a 6 ft. wooden fence keeping the coyotes out anyway. LOL
I need to post some pictures of her here on the animal forum tomorrow if I can remember to do that.

Here is a photo of my little Schnauzer, "Friday" running to me. This was taken in January, 2009, when he was almost 4 months old. That little blue thing in the photo close to his mouth is his city license tag bouncing up from his collar.
