This is the ghost town of Garlock, in Kern County, CA. It wasn't exactly a town, but a couple buildings remain.

This picture tells the history.

I think this was probably some kind of commercial building. It has a lot of doors. The buildings are all on private property and are fenced off, but they are close to the road.

The other side of that building. It is made of adobe. Someone is trying to protect it. The roof is covered with corrugated metal weighted down with old tires.

I don't think these buildings are as old as the others, though that tower thing might be.

As I recall, these were not fenced off, but the owner wants people to keep out, so we did.

Wonderful job Kelli. You are one great photo taker, my friend. I always enjoy your pictures so much and feel as if I am an invisible person who gets the opportunity to visually travel by way of the scenes that you see through your own eyes and capture through the eyes of the camera. Thank you for taking me on so many delightful journeys with you.
