| hey there! ho there! fellow gourders. Have you got your seeds planted? Which gourds are you growing this year? I am not planting any this year, instead I am concentrating on decorating all my birdhouse gourds from last year. Some I will be adding to the store. | Where is everybody? Long time since we have heard from you. Come on in and tell us what you are doing with your gourds this Spring. I know we have had some really bad weather in the south and that may have been a factor in your gardening and gourd planting but let us know how you are doing,. | Im lurking here, waiting for gourd news. Have some seeds sprouting. The apple ones don't want to sprout for me. Well, I'll give them some more time then plant some more seeds and see what happens. I've got them in the house waiting for them to grow a little more before I try transplanting them outdoors. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

LaVonne, thanks for that link. I just printed it out, need referring back to instructions all the time. This is an apple gourd my sister painted for me for my birthday. The little ladybug on the leaf she also made. She doesn't live very far from the Welburn gourd farm and she got addicted to this great hobby. Her very first one was so pretty too. If I do get any gourds she will get them, hoping for another great piece. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| ty LaVonne, it seems every thing she tries is perfect. She is a pretty good artist to begin with, but she went into law inforcement and her talent laid dorment for a while. Now that she is retired she is discovering new talents. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| You know Samigal, I just bet you have a bit of artistic talent also. My sister was the one who brought out my talent and now I paint gourds, and rocks too. So give it a try and see just how talented you are. Perhaps when you next visit your sister she can help encourage you also....then some of those gourds that you are growing will be staying home and painted by Samigal. I started simple and got better with each one. Marti will always be ahead of me but I know how to use my inspiration and intuition to create a beautifully decorated gourd.
