| LaVonne is right about the Welburn Gourd Farm, I went to the festival there in 2004 and it is such a nice woodland area. If you click on their site, they have some gourd tutorials and kind of like U-tube videos that are free. I think it is called Gourd.com . Lot of ideas there too..
