Another month gone by -- most of our decidious trees are bare and freezing nighttime temps have taken out all but the hardiest plants outside. Orion has moved more into the southeast now in the early morning. Time to finish out outside cleanup, empty the rain barrels, put all the tools away. Meanwhile, my relatives in central Florida are planting pansies, impatiens and snapdragons!

My petunias, snapdragons and late mums are still holding on - just for a bit longer even though we had snow flurries off and on all afternoon today. My pansies didn't survive this summer's drought. For the last two winters I've had bright and smiling pansy faces poke out of the snow any time we had a little melt - not this year.

Daylight savings time ends tonight -- don't forget to change your clocks and get an extra hour of sleep (or play!) time!!
