I fully subscribe to the old adage, "pretty is as pretty does", but on HK, you'd think they went all out to find the least attractive people in the country. And I'm not talking just appearance; they're a bunch you'd suspect are near-illiterate dumba$$es.

The contestants on MC are a bunch better-looking and - from the looks of it - better cooks, too. This is the first season there's been a blind contestant, a Vietnamese woman who cooks and presents beautiful dishes. At least this show is inspiring.

I watched Master Chef last night and she certainly impressed me.

I haven't watched Hell's Kitchen yet this season, but I usually do.

My advice? Watch Master Chef and forget HK. That's the nastiest, most incompetent bunch of losers I've seen in one place in a long time.

OK, shoot me now! I watched HK again last night on Tivo. Why Gordon Ramsay would entertain the notion of putting one of these people in charge of a tony restaurant is beyond me. More than one of them is certifiably insane. Rude, ugly - inside and out - and can't seem to turn out orders in under an hour. Thumbs down

I've been watching it for the last two weeks. You were right about how unattractive this bunch is, and loony too.

You're right: I fully expect a couple of the HK contestants to start yelling: "Talk to the hand!" It's only a matter of time before they start slapping and punching one another.

Master Chef is a lot more interesting. There's less of the group dynamic and more focus on individual cooking skills.

I was glad to see Tali leave this week. There's something deeply wrong with someone who calls himself a "genius." Especially when so many of his "brilliant" ideas fall flat.

I have watched HK here and there over the years and I can not believe the language. If those were employees that kind of language would be grounds for filing harassment...oh well that is reality TV for you.

If I only have Master Chef and HK to watch...its Master Chef hands down...I usually watch the food network and find that informative...and I know how to change the channel when necessary.

LaV, I don't have cable or I'd be watching Food Network, too. It is annoying to watch the MC contestants turn out beautiful dishes and have no idea how they did it. Do you think the judges have it in for Felix? They led her on by encouraging her to sabotage her fellow cooks and then ripped her when her efforts failed. I felt sorry for her. I think Tali should have been sent packing 2 or 3 weeks ago. What an ego!!

MC was a pretty good show last night. I was reminded that I've never tried to cook a soft-boiled egg. Who knew such a simple thing could be so hard? The sushi challenge was a real surprise - and drove the unlucky Stacy home. I felt so sorry for Christine. The pressure is taking its toll.

I just can't stomach the 'chefs' on HK; they are the nastiest bunch of people I think I've ever seen on a reality show. If there were a way to reach Gordon, I'll tell him so!

I agree with you completely! I wouldn't want to eat anything the HK chefs this round prepared!

The Master Chef auditions were so wonderful and horrible all at once. I can't believe people cook things like water bugs for them, and I also can't believe the guy that cooked a beaver tail actually got a "yes."

Oh, I forgot the most bizarre thing. One woman made macaroni and cheese with a "secret ingredient." Gordon Ramsay had a mouth full of it when she said the secret ingredient was breast milk. You should have seen him spew it out! Hilarious!

Oh, boy; I hope it was still in the queue. I like this show much better than his others. Btw, did you happen to see Kitchen Nightmares that was filmed here in Scottsdale? It was the first time Ramsey actually walked out on the owners - a couple of certifiable nutjobs - and the controversy went nuclear. http://www.fox.com/kitchennightmares/ Check out the episode, Amy's. It has become a national sensation.
