Oh that looks really nice. Love the color. What are you doing to grow on it? We won't get started on the big arbor until after we do the gazebo floor. We are hosting a big party for our daughters 40th Birthday. It will be towards the middle of May so we are prioritizing everything with that in mind. Gazebo first I would love to have the arbor up also but we will have to see. We need to pick up another load of bricks this weekend. They are for under the big arbor but we can't wait any longer to get them. They are in RIc's Uncles yard and he wants them gone. Seems like everything is so intertwined that you can't just pick project and work just on that. The stone for the gazebo floor is coming from the driveway. The brick we are getting from Uncle's house is going into the driveway. Ric has two small arbors to build and he wants to grow runner beans on one of them so it will need to be done soon. The lumber he wants to use for those is reclaimed lumber that is in a pile at our son's home so we need to go and bring that home. Everything here is a two or three step process. ![]() ![]() Life is Great! Sounds like you need to go on a road trip and start gathering your supplies. I have a clematis just behind the azalea but it isn't one that gets real big so may have to go get another that has a longer vine to it. I bet your patio is going to be a beauty, sounds like you have a lot in the works at the moment. Remember it is still early in the season and there is a whole summer of projects ahead of us. ![]() ![]() Today we are heading to Frederick Md about an hour and a half drive to deliver Pro Mix, pick up plants and visit friends. Tomorrow it will be Chambersburg about an hour drive to get the bricks. My son is whining ![]() You are right about having the whole summer to do projects. If it wasn't for the party date I wouldn't feel so rushed. But I am good at working to get as much done as I can and then just saying OK that's it. What is done is done and what isn't will wait. ![]() Life is Great! I wish I had known that I work in Frederick ! And we live in Hagerstown, - Let me know if you are heading our way again perhaps we can meet up! I grew up in Lewisburg PA and Steve in Silver Spring MD. We work the same way, try to get it done in a day and then if not, well hope for another day! I have a bit of OCB and usually feel rushed to complete a project but having this diagnosis has made me realize that not all can always be done in a day and I need to stop and smell the roses sometimes! We will only be about 25 mins from Hagerstown today picking up the bricks. Ric just unloaded the mulch and I guess we will be heading out in the next hour. It is cold and windy out there this morning and RIc's really not up to loading bricks but we need to go and get them if we want them. Hagerstown isn't far and we could easily come down and visit one of these summer days. I would love to see your Gardens or maybe you could come up and see our arbor when it is finally done. I would love to see your arbor and gardens as well. Steve is retired and we have a cabin in west MD that we frequent in the summer and fall hunting season, but would love to come visit in PA1 Soon as I get this illness behind me and have some time, yuk! Thanks Jan, he did a great job! Holly, would love to take you up on the offer one of these days. As you know Harrisburg is just 1 1/2 hrs. from here. Were were you when we had the RU at the cabin in western MD a few years ago? Should have had you on our list! We had 2 RU's at our cabin - first one was in 2005 and the second in July 2006. Here is a link to a few pics of the 2005. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/435880/ Some folks camped in tents and some in their vehicles and Shirley took the loft bedroom upstairs. Kim and Howie camped in their truckbed and some just slept under the stars. There were some nearby cabins that a few folks rented for the weekend and did a short commute! What a great time they were. Yes you would. We will be going up there in a few weeks and getting ready for another season. Unfortunately the RU's have gotten to be too much, and we worry now with folks camping as there are bears in those woods we have a few photos of them on our trail camera so we are leary of camping, well not for the 2 of us, but for others.
