We went to visit our grandkids in Ohio this weekend and spent the afternoon at a place called Hands on Pottery. YOu go there and pick out whatever you want to paint and get to work. What a great place for kids especially on a rainy afternoon. The gals running the place had all the information you could want on how to paint the pieces or stencil or write a name. It was moms day and so we chose a flower vase, what else! Put your hands to work in these cubits: Arrangements 101 and/or Hands at Work Share your travels with us at: Travel Junction - Contest |

This is the wall of paints to choose from, some are speckled and the instructor told us to use 3 coats to get the darkest color. Sponges are available for dabbing and pens for writing. They fire the work and you pick it up a week later. Put your hands to work in these cubits: Arrangements 101 and/or Hands at Work Share your travels with us at: Travel Junction - Contest |

Oh she is a cutie. ![]() We have a couple of places like that. You are right about a fun afternoon. Bet Mom loves that flower vase. What I need to find is a good ceramic shop that has regular classes. I use to go to one and made some of the nicest things. There was a good sized group at least a doz or more and we would get together at the shop on Wednesday night for class. Everyone had their own project so it wasn't like you had to do the same thing but quite often someone would start something and several of us would like it so much that we would start working on the same project. I made some really nice things in those classes and had a really nice time. The guys that had the shop sold it several years ago as they were getting older and wanted to retire. Life is Great! Thanks, that is Eva Grace. He Sure seemed to be a lucrative venture at this one anyway. People in and out and had to make an appointment. These are the pics of Colton who was not as enthusiastic about the pottery!
