LMAO, you are giving away pieces, well doesn't that take the cake. Can't be critical of sharing, so guess you are just gonna have to get a smaller table and call it quits!!! What kind of pattern is/was it!

LOL! Smaller table.
It was several weeks ago that I thought my unfinished tablecloth had disappeared in the move. But today, while looking for something entirely unrelated, I found it! It needs to be washed and ironed. Some other day perhaps.
Here's all I had put together so far, with a closer view. There were a couple of other pieces not yet connected, but they are not with the big piece. I know I had been using one or two separately, so maybe they are just gone. I am quite sure I will never finish this, and I have not looked for the instructions anyway.
Candee, your doilies are fantastic! What beautiful, even work you do!

This is really pretty. Sorry you don't have all the pieces or the pattern, I am sure you have spent a wealth of time on it already.
Working with the threads is tedious and at my age hard to see, but does keep my hands out of trouble!!!
Thank you two for the encouragement. I too felt the plain part was boring. But if you could see the whole thing finished (on the pattern/instructions) it looks nice.
Time invested, yes. But that was decades ago and it's all forgotten now, making it easier to forgo finishing!

I can see how that center part could really become monotonous and I would tire of it quickly. The neat thing about the BC doilies is that they are done in sections and then worked together so it doesn't get boring for me.
At least you have part of it finished, can you use it for something, perhaps just under a small table lamp instead as a full runner?
Yes, I have done that, years ago. I was thinking of maybe adding some sort of border all the way around to make it look more complete. Maybe I will do that. If I ever do, I'll show it to you here.

You know shell was my first thought, but then I switched to ruffle as I think it will finish it off nicely w/o taking away from the pattern you have established.
