I have a pile of laundry on the floor that I didn't get to.

Had the kitchen spotless from a fish fry we did for friends on Saturday and then got it dirty again from throwing together a quick appetizer for a last minute invitation we had to an Easter dinner.

Our wedding anniversary was Sat and my present was getting half of our dock in so I can fish. Our friend brought me bait and he & DH got into waders & wetsuit (water is probably 40 degrees). It was very windy and they had to stop when half was in due to the whitecaps on the lake. Tired as they were . . the crowning touch was putting a chair down there for me to sit on while fishing. Today I will go buy my license.

It made DH so tired he took a 4 hour nap afterwards.

Saturday a lot of garden cleanup got done but we have far to go.

Another area I fell down was my tomatoe seedlings; they now have the first set of true leaves and we had intended in getting them out of the seed pans & into their own little cups. That didn't happen so it is on this week's list.

And we still haven't finished cleaning the garage.

First of all, Arlene .... happy anniversary to you and your wonderful DH. It sounds like you actually had a spectacular day! So, your anniversary is on the 4th, or the 3rd?

As far as the rest of the weekend goes, you aren't behind at all. None of us fell behind because of a holiday weekend. There were just things that we would have like to get to, but didn't because we were enjoying life, and love, and family and friends.

I'd much rather say that I created some lasting and loving memories this weekend. And today, we just begin right where we begin every day - make bed, get dressed, eat, and move on through the rest of our tasks. Even five minutes doing something is five minutes forward.

We had such a lovely weekend, though, didn't we?

P.S.
This photo is of one of the little ones I take care of Monday through Friday. She just turned two, and this was her first time coloring Easter eggs.

DH doesn't buy flowers very often; that is good because when he does, it is more appreciated. He was really smart this time . . bought only 6. That's all I need. A dozen is too fussy and overwhelming to me.

We sat down and played Chinese checkers, which we hadn't done in 10 years. I declined the offer of going out for dinner. The date is actually the 3rd, Saturday. And, yes, the goofy dock, even half done got me the most excited.
