| I think the one job I noticed most reduced was the wall washing It seemed that when the kids were here, I was constantly washing walls and door frames and oh the floors too! Now with most of them moved out, I was marveling at how clean my walls looked....until I looked down and saw all the toddler level dirt from my grandson Now I'm on hands and knees again starting a whole new cleaning cycle again
With my teens getting them to pick up their stuff was pretty easy. If it was their items (jackets, school books, skateboards etc) I waited 15 minutes, then locked it in my closet for a full 24 hours midterm test or not...they didnt get it back for 24 hours. I loved picking up their shoes after that!
If it was garbage, dirty dishes or candy wrappers etc, I would pick them up and place them on top of their beds. It only took my step kids a few weeks and I had them all trained
