But don't grow it over carpet! When it blooms, it weeps red sap. Many, many years ago, my husband's aunt saw one of my Hoyas in bloom and said she'd seen one before and called it a "Jesus' Tears" plant. When I finally got kerrii to bloom, I thought that surely this is the Hoya that the name "Jesus' Tears" came from!
