I got this hoya from gardino,s and it was soaked but other than that it was fine now it looks super dehydrated and the leaves are soft and wrinkly please help me save it |

Steven if it's still wet take it out of the pot and wrap the root ball in paper towels to absorb the excess moisture. You may have to do that several times then let the root ball sit out of the pot for awhile till it drys out enough. I've done this before when we've gotten torrential rains and the plants got overly soaked and it really seems to help. Good luck... Gardino's is good tho if you contact them they will probably make it right if you have a problem with the plant. |

Steven, if the hoya pachyclada was soaked when you got it, what condition is it in now? I find with pachyclada that you can have it too dry. I have had my plant's leaves start to shrivel, and they came back nicely after a good soaking. While the plant does not like to be wet, it also does not want to be dried right out either. |

Don't laugh, but what about psycological wilt? It can happen when a plant has been too wet, for too long. It can be a symptom of root rot. Dump it out & check the roots for mush. Good luck! ![]() "When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other." - Chinese Proverb |

Check and see if the roots have rotted. If they appear tan colored and pull off very easily just leaving a central hair like thread behind, its time to cut it up and try and re root it. H pachyclada roots quite easily. They sometimes do set out new roots themselves.I've had plants start to collapse, and have quickly taken cuttings..and then the original plant bounces back as if nothing has happened by re sprouting roots. Have you rooted cuttings before ? |

Steven how's your pachyclada doing? |

I had to grow my pachy very dry....then I gave it to Ted Green (who is growing out a whole slew of them to match flowers and monitor growth) and he grows it outside in the rain. It really doesn't rain as much there as it does here...but....still!!!! cv. Christine is the same way!!!! So easy to get on the wrong side of them!!! A fast draining medium is essential...I find. Leap. The net will appear. |
