ooooh, very exciting.
Theres loads of information on the cubit about starting seeds - hopefully yours will germinate in a day or two.
Let us know how they do!

Yay.well done. H fungii has lovely leaves. Flowers are very similar to H carnosa, but the leaves can grow huge. Will be nice plants

To answer your question..I have never grown out any seeds but that does look a good way to start them off. What to do next I do not know.....anyone ?

The are pretty tough. I would grow them out a bit more...until you see the wee root forming and then gently put them in a pot with soil and keep damp.
Leap. The net will appear.

Here are two photos I took a week ago showing my seedlings. They are of H. pubicalyx Red Buttons and H. heuschkeliana Yellow. The plants are around two months and one month old respectively. Here is my two cents on seedling care: They need to be always moist without being wet, and they can never dry out. I achieve this by always keeping them in a humidity dome covered tray under artificial light. I have the vents in the dome barely cracked to prevent condensation build up, and once a week I check to see if they need water.

Thanks Julie! Although, I suspect if someone is a little less neat and tidy they have a little easier time going through life Smiling
