Too me eriostemma look like a big starfish shape plate with a tiny little dessert in the center. Enjoy!
I read somewhere they do not smell good generally...do not know if that is true.
Name: Carol Noel Hawaii (near Hilo) It's all about choices.
Nah...I live in such a benign climate (mostly) anything will grow. When we left the boat I told Bob (as we lived in Seattle) I wanted to live somewhere I could stick a broom handle in the ground and it would grow! Check!
Hoya crassicaulis...love this hoya!!!!!
Nice blooming hoyas Carol. My crassicaulis took long time to start blooming but once it did, it has not stopped yet. I love it's scent too, very fresh and clean.
This hoya became extinct and was recently reintroduced into the wild in the mountains of Sikkim in N. India. I grow this outdoors, in the lowlight under a tree and it does well, considering I am in Hawaii. It blooms a couple of times a year. Fragrance is of lilacs!!!
This is one I call 'it'...because IT is really rather ugly but unique...shows the great diversity in this species....
I've lost the IML# on this...it's a 12?? but the name on it was sp. aff. pubifera. The scent of butter and honey is so strong.....
Thanks! I took another shot today, just a more defined close-up of the red little flowers...wow, really cuties!!! So worth the long wait for this one to bloom
