Very nice blooms Alka!!
Do blooms get bigger with the age of the plant? (I am sorry if this is a silly question...for some reason blooms on 'aged' plants look bigger to me).
Have really enjoyed the June blooms everyone...some gorgeous blooms on this post, thanks for sharing!!
A few blooming for me...I'm most excited about my serpens...I've been growing these for about 4 years, and I've killed a few cuttings here and there. Its been a real challenge for me growing it in very hot and humid FL cause I know these prefer to grow in 'cooler' climates...so to see it finally bloom for me is very exciting!!
Ah, Nancy is a "blooming guru"...she has such gorgeous plants, with lots of red leaves, and so many blooms that I can't keep track of them!! I wish her success would rub off on me!! Fondly, Patrick
Lol Patrick...not hardly a blooming guru. I have many hoyas that have never bloomed...but hoping one day they will?
Julie, no real tips really...I hink living in hot and humid FL has a lot to do with them blooming. I grow most of them outside so they get a lot of bright indirect light (under trees and shaded areas...I fertilize "weakly" about every 7-10 days and use a porous, well draining mix. The rest is "luck"
I found the other set of buds open on my Serpens this morning...
Beautiful Alka!!! Hopefully something of mine will bloom soon. I have only Minibelle blooming at the moment....it loves the warm sun hanging down on a window...
