Hi everybody I was invited by Carol some time ago, I registered myself and never found time to write I just introduce me : Alex GAVRUS, living in France, a maybe 600 pieces collection in my best days, by now trying to decrease it (probably 450-500 pieces) My site is Pakeha’s Hoya, you will find around 12.000 pictures (flowers, plants, leaves, details, travels) : http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/ My English is “perfectibleâ€, please forgive my mistakes I propose you a little riddle contest Here is the picture: You have to guess the context of the photo (very special and rather rarely observed) and which is the species in question It is not easy easy ... In order to guess all, it takes a little knowledge of the world of Hoyas and their features and maybe a bit of imagination To promote the game, I will offer a prize (Pakeha's Hoya Special Prize) We will say cuttings worth 15 € for guessing the species and even cuttings worth 15 € for guessing the context (25 € if the same person is guessing all) - a list specially established for time (excluding France I do not offer the shipping, who remains the responsibility of the winner) I observed the context 5-6 times in fifteen years, but it also met in the Hoya literature Valuable clues can be found in at least two articles Asclep-Hoya revue (in French) : http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/index.php?mod=AFAHO and scattered among the pictures of the site : http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/index.php?mod=Gestion&op=Descrip... The contest is valid until end September I will answer questions if you have PS The game is launched simultaneously on 7 forums ![]() Pakehanuitanekeimokokiwiwheroapuru http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/ |

Sorry about the clues, I was in Holiday, and after very busy Olivier (from another forum) won all ! With intuition, research, method and perseverance - congratulations! Hoya sp. Sabah AL1950 is a new species discovered in 2009 and under publication (I can not reveal the future name, just the initial "R") close H. spartioides, but unlike the latter, which in adulthood has only peduncles, "R" has peduncles and aciculate leaves (needles) The peculiarity of the two species is that starting from seedlings, they produce leaves a little bit wider (at spartioides leaves completely disappear thereafter, photosynthesis is carried out by the stems, while in "R" appear needle leaves) http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/index.php?mod=Gestion&op=ShowDet... http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/index.php?mod=Gestion&op=ShowDet... However, the production of new stems from the roots is a rare phenomenon in the Hoyas in general, it had not been seen these both species And to my surprise, the first node produces leaves as if it were a new plant, while it is the same I'm curious about the second node : wide or aciculate leaves? Carol : thanks again for your welcome, I'll send you an e-mail next days Pakehanuitanekeimokokiwiwheroapuru http://www.pakehas-hoya.com/ |
