And over here on this side of things the heat has finally hit us...we've been in the 90's this week after having a relatively mild summer. I'm so sorry that you're not looking forward to heading into winter. Here, I look forward to Fall and all that it signifies, bountiful harvest, gorgeous pumpkins, squash, Indian corn and the coming of winter. I would be looking forward to Winter much more if I thought we'd be having a wet one....what I've heard lately says we'll be having a dry winter. Not good. I liked what you mentioned before about people leaving their Christmas lights up longer for the cheer. Are bright colors used more in the Winters also, maybe for that same reason? I have a 'cousin' of sorts who spent 30 years in Alaska and is now thrilled to death to be living in about'd rather have something in between. If we have a warm, dry winter, I will be envying many aspects of your winter in Iceland.
