The colchicums are flowering:

I don't recall ever seeing so many hips on the Rosa glauca before ... infact it's been an exceptionally good fall, rose-hips-wise ....

The mountain ash are covered in berries - there are so many berries, I don't think there are enough birds to eat them all! At least the feeding frenzy hasn't started yet, maybe because the ground's not frozen yet and the birds can still eat worms. I don't know ....
