No this is on the SE coast .... quite a long distance away. It's getting slightly brighter in the town of Kirkjubæjaklaustur and the police have allowed people in the area to travel west out of the ashfall zone. Some tourists that were stuck there have evacuated. The ash has a low fluoride content which means it isn't highly toxic to people and livestock so that's good news at least. Rann |
