As I have time I will post companies who outsource their work to home bound workers. Whether you need to be home with children or other family members, sometimes the only source of income is a work-at-home position. I have researched the companies I will post and NOT add scam companies or those who charge people to work. Also, you will not find survey taking jobs, pay per click type opportunities, or other things like these.
The information will be about legitimate companies who hire you and make you fill out tax information and send you a 1099 or w2 at the end of the year. These are the only types of companies you will see listed here. So check back often as I update because this is a work in progress and I must do it as I have the time. I do work from home as a freelance writer. I know what I am talking about because it took 2 years of searching to find the information I will be presenting here.
Hope it helps
Thanks for reading, check back often

Ok for starters, I write so I am going to give a list of companies that hire writers to work from home....they want SEO content articles...usually about 500 words each...sometimes a little less...but if you write well then you can make a living or at least compensate the income you have already.

http://www.demandstudios.com/ Pays twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday through paypal. They send a 1099misc at the end of January for previous year's work. Pay is $3 to $25 per article depending on subject and which outlet for which you write.

http://workwithclark.com/ Also pays through paypal upon completion of the assignment. I have worked for Clark in the past and never had a problem with him. Sends out a 1099misc at the end of every January for previous year's work.

http://tiny.cc/aEs6S 1-800-flowers also hires for inbound telemarketers. Right now they have filled all positions but they hire more around the holidays. Check back often as the work is seasonal. *note: after you put in an application, there is a phone interview and a training period before you start work. Those familiar with telemarketing will do good here.

http://www.apply.westathome.com/ Another telemarketing company....pays by check for first two then switches to direct deposit. Inbound calls. Companies like Virgin Mobile, ShopNBC, and others use this company to take orders. Because you have access to personal financial information, the company requires a background check for each employee. DOES NOT HIRE IN ALL STATES

Ok, those are off the top of my head....will post more tomorrow...
Hope it helps

Hi Herbie...glad to have you here. None of the things you will find here are scams. Did you see the self publishing sites for writers? What kind of cookbook did she write?

It's good to know you have researched these companies and are willing to vouch for their legitimacy. There are so many scams out there.

I work as an independent contractor with some mystery shopping companies. You can find legitimate ones through the forums at http://forum.volition.com/ I receive 1099's from the companies with which I contract.

Also, Alpine Access is a legitimate business. They have people doing customer service and order entry work from their homes. They do NOT do outbound telemarketing. People must have a regular phone line (thru cable is fine, but no cellphone or VOIP). I'm debating on whether it would be worth us getting a phone line through our cable co for this. We just use cellular now. http://www.alpineaccess.com/en/apply/alpine-access-and-you/

My sister worked for Alpine Access and liked the work but not the hours. She never had a pay that was short or late. I think it is worth it to try them out at least.

I've heard of Alpine Access and was wondering if they were a legit company. You mentioned your sister did not like the hours. Was it night work?

Alpine Access has a training period to let you get familiar with how their system works. It really is not that hard to do and they will walk you through each step.

Well it said you had to have several years experience and I don't have any at all. I would not be good at dead lines either as when I write something I have to put it down for awhile and then when I think about stuff then I can go back and pick it up again and finish it. Thats bad for a deadline date. LOL
