Irises: DATABASE OF BEARDED IRIS CLASSIFICATIONS
Iris are one of the easiest perennials to grow and for most if not all will grow well throughout the USA. Now some types will not do as well as others in certain areas, but to date the information is that you can grow iris where you live.
This database will give you information on the classifications of all the bearded irises. It includes height information, along with other defining features and includes a display picture of each.
The hybridizer that registers the iris is the one who assigns it to a class. The hybridizer may change the classification if the iris ultimately performs differently than first recorded, but this is rare.
(PS: Clicking on the pictures will give you the name of the iris and the hybridizer)
