Terry Johnson of Heritage Iris featured us on his blog. This is a well know blog among irisarians.

http://historiciris.blogspot.com/

Please take a look. Since it's a blog we won't be on there long, but Terry's blog is worth bookmarking and looking at weekly for new information. He has lots of info on there, pictures of new intros, write ups about irises and iris people. He has posted a link to Irises cubit also, so once we're off the front page we can still be linked from the blog.

And check out his links on the left hand side of the blog. Some amazing links.

It's the coolest blog in the iris world!

Thanks Donna.

Really congrats to all of us. Terry joined out cubit and checked it out before he put it on his blog. So let's keep up the good work, and everyone keep talking and posting pictures.

Great! In honor of making the historic irises blog, here's my first bloom of the season. Here's Favori by Cayeux, 1934.

Thank you, thank you!

Love the iris, purple ones are my favorites. And for some reason they usually seem to smell great, too.

I know this is an old thread, but there has been a discussion recently on HIPS (the historic iris forum) about Favori (Cayeux 1930) with a link to the photo above. As a member of both sites I thought I should mention that this is NOT Cayeux's 1930 Favori..... the form, the blue beard and the ruffles make it a much more modern iris.

Cool beans on making the Heritage Iris blog!!

Anne -- I'm glad you spoke up on that Iris. When I saw it, I thought -- "this cannot be an Iris from the 30's -- looks too modern".

Sure is a beautiful Iris, though............... Lovey dubby

You have to be a member of HIPS to see the forum but their site is http://www.hips-roots.com. There is a well researched public photo gallery, , with a more extensive gallery for members.
