I know because there were some ladybugs on the monarda, and there were no dead ones laying around after. Bees too.

If you've got a problem on the mums with aphids, I'm sure that's why all the ladybugs are there, so I would let them do their thing. I wouldn't spray anything if the ladybugs are there getting the aphids.

Polly, my daughter turned two in March. She is a handful, but a blessing. We were both sick, and still have a cough. So I haven't been able to get out in the garden as much as I would like.

I was just out taking pictures of my spring bulbs, and saw that a viola seed must have fallen. As I have a small viola growing with a few flowers on it. It is almost hidden under a mini rose so I think I will move it. I am hoping my cannas come back.

I wish I had an abundance of ladybugs to help me! I have seen one in my perennial garden when I was weeding. I read somewhere that ladybugs may not be able to completly rid a plant of aphids due to the speed/numbers aphids reproduce. Not sure if it is true or not.

Here is my daughter, Ava.

She is just beautiful, Danielle! I bet she's a handful at that age. But she looks so sweet.

Doesn't look like she's well suited for the sun. Very fair.

Thanks, she is full of it! We have a new puppy and they are in kahoots Hilarious!

Actually, she tans fairly well. Better than I do! Myself I tan fairly easy, and my husband gets very dark-skinned during the summer. I think it was the lighting on the photo. Not that I want her in the sun! I use sunblock on her, and try to keep it off my face. My mother had skin cancer so I try to be extra careful.

Danielle she is a doll. With her and the puppy you should really have your hands full.

We have a new puppy of 1 month now, she was 2 months old when we got her. She is being pretty good lately about poppy training. Really on the whole she is a mellow dog.

D, I saw pics of your new puppy! A boxer x right? Too cute!

We have had, Pip, since the first part of March. He is now 13 weeks old. He is an Australian Shepherd. They can be handfuls! Luckily, all house/command/kennel training went pretty smoothly.

Here is a recent pic of Pip. He is a black tri, with minimal copper.

Too cute...Image your little lady has a lot of fun with him.

Elli Mae was born on 1-23 so in a couple of days will be 3 months.

The oldest cat who is usually very grumpy has taken to her, the other 3 cats might get along if Elli would stop barking at them. We are working on that daily.

Potty training is 90%, sit 100%, come still working on that one. But a plus she loves to ride in the car and she is being crate trained for bedtime or if I can not take her with me.

Pips face looks like a little bear. Soooo cute.

Kids and puppies, unbeatable.

Elli Mae is being good then, for being so young, Dee.

The things I hate about pups or Elli, is mouthy with the cats, her sharp teeth and claws. What I love is her sweet temperament and how well she is learning. It has been 16+ yrs since we had a puppy as our dog passed on after 16 years and of old age and we are 16 years older now..

Funny that you mention that. Last night I let the pup out to go potty, and went back to grab him 5 min. later. Even though I have a fence around my iris bed. He was in there!!! Talk about heart attack! They are all getting ready to bloom. I went to grab him, and he started running through them, bending them every way. Thank the lord, none of them were broken.

I went to Lowe's today, and they had some potted TB iris that were in bloom. It made me want to see mine blooming even more. Actually, the Lowe's TB in bloom was the first time I had seen one in person! Absolutely gorgeous!

What this little lady is doing and getting into big trouble is wanting to eat the very iris bloom I am trying to take a picture of. So she gets into big trouble the minute she starts on any of the plant or bloom, can not wait until she is totally trained to walk or run in the row!

Too funny, guys!

My 7 year old grandaughter loves the Japanese, and somehow she manages to pick the exact one I want to photo, just before I take the picture. She puts them behind her ears, and dresses her Barbies in them.

Switch her to dandelions for adornment if you have them. At 7 she must know not to pick no matter that she is adorable.
